Repairing Pipelines Using Composite Materials: Installation Procedures and Preliminary Test Results
George R. Ross, Ph.D.
Dr. Ross received his Ph.D from Texas A&M University in 1996 and has been
with Stress Engineering Services since that time. His Ph.D. work dealt with
stress analysis and testing of fiber reinforced composite materials, progressive
damage in composites, and environmental effects. While with SES, Dr. Ross has
worked on a variety of projects including a review of conceptual designs for a
proposed arctic pipeline, stress analysis of a variety of structures, and full
scale static and fatigue tests. Dr. Ross is currently conducting tests to
determine the effectiveness of innovative pipeline repair techniques.
