January's meeting will include Focus Sessions offered by the Houston Section of NACE as industry training programs integrated into with our regular monthly meeting.

These sessions are intended for experienced operators and engineers and will be state of the art rather than introductory in nature. Participants are invited to stay for the Monthly Cocktail hour and dinner session to follow.

ASM Houston, is sponsoring Dr. Brenda Little as speaker following dinner. Dr. Little, Senior Scientist for Marine Molecular Processes at the Naval Research Laboratory, has a Ph.D. from Tulane University in chemistry and a B.S. from Baylor University in biology and chemistry. She is a NACE International Fellow and the recipient of a 1999 NACE International Technical Achievement Award. Dr. Little serves on the editorial board for Biofouling and is the author of one book, 20 book chapters and over 80 peer-reviewed journal articles.
