Dinner and Plant Tour
Tenaris Coiled Tubes (formerly Precision Tube Technology and SeaCAT) is the world’s leading manufacturer of coiled tubing products for the oil and gas industry. Coiled tubing products are used for oil and gas well drilling, completions, service operations, and pipelines, in both onshore and offshore environments. The use of coiled tubing has expanded dramatically and today is a global multi-billion dollar per year industry.
Tenaris Coiled Tubes manufactures tube in continuous lengths up to 35,000 feet in sizes from 0.5 to 5.0 inch diameter and wall thickness from 0.050 inch to 0.300 inch. Products are made from either carbons steel in yield strengths for 60KSI up to 110KSI or in duplex stainless steel with an 80KSI yield strength.
The presentation will focus on new uses and markets for coiled tubing, on advances in mechanics, metallurgy and inspection that have been driven by the unique requirements of coiled tubing applications, and on the coiled tubing manufacturing process. The meeting will include dinner, a presentation and tour of Tenaris Coiled Tubes manufacturing facilities.
