Components used in the oil and gas industry must be able to withstand the most extreme and difficult environments. The talk will show how thin film coating solutions based on PVD and PACVD coating technology can provide reliability and long life for critical components. Such coating solutions that improve the wear resistance and extend the service life of components also add tremendous value for the tools used to manufacture them. The presentation will cover coating process, benefits and limitations, and a number of typical applications.
