Each year, the Houston Chapter of ASM International holds a “Student’s Night” meeting to showcase the activity of our student chapters. This year, the student chapter at Texas A&M University will be hosting the October 4 meeting.
5:30 – 6:00 Arrival in front of Mechanical Engineering Office Building
5:45 – 6:20 Lab tours (3 groups – Doherty, Aerospace, and Thompson Hall)
6:20 – 7:00 Student poster session (University club-we will provide funding for 1st, 2nd and 3rd price)
7:00 – Dinner and seminar lecture (University club)
7:15 – Seminar lecture – Dr. Karaman will introduce Materials Science and Engineering Program and Dr. Lagoudas will talk about Development of hybrid materials for extreme environments at TAMU
8:15 – Departure from the University club
In order to get an accurate headcount, we encourage everyone to register as early as possible. The cost for this meeting, including transportation, is only $35. Support our students by attending this special meeting!
