Dr. Bruce Craig, P.E.

Bruce Craig is the author and contributing author of more than seven books and 90 papers including the new 4th edition of Oilfield Metallurgy and Corrosion. He obtained his Bachelor and Master of Science degrees as well as his PhD in Metallurgical Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines.

Dr. Craig has been involved with the evaluation of corrosive wells and the selection of casing and tubing for these wells in addition to all the facilities metallurgy for projects ranging from Mobile Bay to the deep water GOM, the Rockies to Asia and the Middle East for more than 35 years. He has consulted on the completion of numerous HPHT wells and been actively involved in research on the sulfide stress cracking and stress corrosion cracking of alloys for these types of wells. In addition Dr. Craig has consulted on many projects around the world that utilized CRA clad pipe for flowlines and piping for aggressive oil and gas environments. He has consulted for all of the major oil companies, many of the foreign national oil companies and many of the US independents.

Dr Craig is presently a subject matter expert with Stress Engineering Services. He is a member of SPE, ASM International and a Fellow of NACE International. He is also a Senior Research Fellow at the Institute for Corrosion and Multiphase Flow Technology, Ohio University. Dr. Craig is a registered professional engineer in Colorado.
